Makeup and Beauty Favorites (March 2015)

Happy Monday, beauties! Today’s post is all about my go-to makeup and beauty products for the month of March.  A few of these are new, but for the most part these are oldies – but goodies. Let’s get to it!

Lavanila The Healthy Deodorant in Vanilla Lavender ($14 Sephora) – I featured the Vanilla Grapefruit in a previous favorites, but I mentioned how the smell was not the greatest. This on the other hand, smells fantastic! The formula is soothing and refreshing under the arms, and it actually keep me dry. I wouldn’t rely on it on a hot sticky day, but for the majority of the year this is my go-to deodorant.

Peter Thomas Roth CC Cream in Light to Medium ($48 Sephora) – This is my favorite foundation for the spring and summer. The formula is really lightweight, the coverage is medium to full, and it leaves behind a gorgeous satin finish. It wears nicely all day, and it even covers hyper-pigmentation marks. If I had to get rid of all my foundations, and only keep one, this would be the one I would choose.

House of Lashes Lash Glue ($8 houseoflashes.com) – I have sensitive eyes, and glues like Duo really irritate them. This one has a great brush applicator, it’s latex free, and it keeps my lashes in place all day. Before I repurchased this, I tried a few other glues and the results were horrendous. I’m always keeping a backup of this on hand!

Urban Decay Naked Basics Pencil in Crave & Venus ($16 Nordstrom) – This is new to my stash, and I cannot stop reaching for it. On one end is Venus, a soft champagne that works perfect for highlighting the inner corner. One the other end is Crave, a deep matte brown that almost appears black, though it’s not as harsh. These liners are smooth, easy to apply and last all day. I highly recommend!

Benefit Roller Lash ($24 Sephora) – This mascara was instant love! The self curing formula lifts my lashes and saves me an extra step in my beauty routine (no lash curler needed!). The formula doesn’t smudge or flake, and it’s super easy to remove at night. I will definitely be purchasing a full size once this sample is gone.

Benefit Bikini-tini & MAC Vintage Selection ($20 Sephora & $21 maccosmetics.com) – Cream shadows have always been a huge part of my makeup routine. They last all day, and really make shadows pop. Although I own a ton, lately all I’ve been reaching for is Benefit Bikini-tini (pink champagne) and MAC Vintage Selection (frosted peach). Both are creamy, blend nicely and last all day on the lids without creasing – though I do suggest wearing a primer just in case.

Alterna Bamboo Style Cleanse Extend Dry Shampoo ($22 Sephora) – I’ve tried a ton of dry shampoos over the years, but this one from Alterna is my all time favorite. It has a yummy fruity scent, it gives hair lots of volume, and it refreshes without leaving behind a gross residue. It’s not entirely translucent, but the white marks are easy to rub away. This product is pricey, but so worth it.

Marc by Marc Jacobs Jerrie Rose Stud Earrings ($38 Bloomingdales) – I don’t normally talk about fashion items, but these rose stud earrings are too cute not to mention. The bright pink roses are perfect for spring, and they cost less than $40!
