Skin care has been an essential part of my beauty routine for as long as I can remember. From discovering my moms face cream in the 7th grade, to trying what seems like every lotion, serum, and face wash for nearly two decades following, it has remained a passion of mine to find products that are gentle and effective. So, when the opportunity came to try some Colleen Rothschild products, I was super excited. I’ve been testing these for quite a while now, and cannot wait to share my thoughts with you all!
Formulated with only the finest ingredients, Colleen Rothschild skin care has been making waves in the beauty community for over 20 years. Their line up includes face washes, moisturizers, exfoliators, serums, and even products for the hand and body. I’ve got three items to talk about, all of which have become staples in my everyday routine!
Skincare that’s stunningly simple, yet from a chemistry prospective, incredibly complex. By marrying time-tested, proven ingredients and today’s cutting edge technologies together with the proprietary delivery system LEVEL E3, Colleen created products that deliver the best skin-perfecting results possible.” Colleen Rothschild
RADIANT CLEANSING BALM
Retailing for $65 (3.3 fl oz), this solid cleansing balm instantly erases all traces of stubborn face and eye makeup. It contains Loofah Seed and Moringa Oil to improve skins integrity, while also leaving it softly cleansed, hydrated, and free of impurities. It comes with a cotton muslin cloth, and it’s packaged in a plastic tub that works perfect for travel.
The texture of this cleanser is soft, and easy to apply. It features an herbal spa like scent, and it can be used both morning and night to restore luminosity, combat hydration, and decongest skin.
To use this balm, gently rub it between your fingers, then apply it to dry skin and over closed eyes. It transforms from a solid, to a silky balm that glides effortlessly across the face. You’ll see it go to action instantly, removing foundation, brow powder, blush, mascara, and eyeshadow. To remove, either splash your face with warm water, or use the muslin cloth to wipe it away. I’ve tried both methods, and for me simply washing it off with water works best.
I was hesitant at first to try this, since other balms I’ve tried have been a let down, but I’m truly impressed! It doesn’t overly cleanse, so it’s great for my dry patches, and it doesn’t leave behind any trace of residue. Best of all, when I use a micellar water afterward, not a trace of makeup comes off on the cotton pad. This stuff really does remove everything, and it makes my skin feel like velvet. It’s the only makeup remover I’ve reached for the past month, and it never stings or burns my eyes. I love it!
FACE OIL Nº9
Retailing for $85 (1 fl oz), this hydrating treatment contains nine oils that deeply nourish and boost moisture. It’s formulated with Omegas 3, 6, and 9 and its exclusive delivery system “mimics skin’s natural lipid barrier, which decreases water loss, while extending the effectiveness and efficiency of each ingredient.”
The texture of this oil is thin and liquidy, so a tiny bit goes a long way (the package says to use 3-4 pumps, but I only use 1). It features the same scent as the cleansing balm, and it absorbs into skin within minutes leaving zero trace of oily residue or shine. So, if you’re worried about looking like a grease ball, have no fears this will not do that!
The very first time I used this, I knew it was going to be a permanent part of my skin care routine. It’s hydrating, gentle, and works perfect for my dry/combo skin. It leaves my face feeling softer than it ever has, and it doesn’t cause any irritation or breakouts. It’s a must have, especially for those in cold winter climates.
BEAUTY WATER
The multi-purpose beauty water retails for $28 (3.3 fl oz), and can be used to refresh skin, boost moisture, and to set makeup. It contains coconut water, hyaluronic acid, and watermelon extract to keep skin feeling hydrated for up to 24 hours.
My favorite way to use the Beauty Water, is to set my makeup. It has a fine mist, so it covers my entire face without disturbing my foundation, and it doesn’t cause creasing or irritation. It feels cooling and refreshing, and while it doesn’t do much to prolong the wear time of my makeup, it definitely helps powder look less cakey.

I am a skin care nut and love it. I attest skin care to allowing me to not having use foundation and concealer anymore, unless i’m testing products. I am really intrigued by this line having not tried anything from it before. I need to pick up some things and try it myself.

lol I used to steal my moms Covergril powder, and to this day I still remember the distinct smell it had. I wonder if CG ever updated that, or if their powder foundations still smell that way lol anyways, I think you’d really like the cleansing balm!
These sound very nice! I love cleansing balms, so it’s great that you’ve found one you like!! 🙂
