Neutrals can be boring, but the ColourPop Going Coconuts palette is everything I love in a nude palette! It’s got great mid-tone browns, a gorgeous all over lid shade, and a matte blending shade. It’s PERFECTION!
COLOURPOP GOING COCONUTS
Retailing for an insanely low cost of $12 – yes, TWELVE dollars! This baby is packed with easy to wear nude shades that are great for everyday wear. The outer packaging is plastic, which makes it great for travel, and the shadows inside are a nice size considering the cost.
I wasn’t in the market for another nude palette, but I could not resist the price of this. Now that I’ve had it for a few months, I seriously cannot imagine not having it in my collection. It’s such a simple set of shades, but it has a complete color story that makes it easy to use. I love that the cream blending shade (Shredded) is mostly matte (it has the teeniest amount of sparkle that disappears upon application). I use it all over the lid to set my primer, as well as above my crease to blend harsh edges. So many palettes include super shimmery cream shades, and I really hate blending with those.
WARMS, COOLS, SHIMMERS & MATTES
The wearable color selection is what has me reaching for this palette nearly every single day. I love that there is a mixture of warm and cool tones, as well as a variety of mattes and shimmers. The top performing shade is hands down Coco Crush. It’s described as an icy pale champagne, and it is seriously SO beautiful all over the lids. The formula is creamy, and although it’s got lots of luminosity, there is no obvious chunky glitter in this shade. I love to pair it with a shimmery shadow stick like Bobbi Brown Golden Pink.
The soft browns are all velvety smooth, and blend out like a dream. The fact that this palette is so affordable, and the quality is so superb really makes it unique. I’ve tried shadows 3x the price that weren’t this nice. Now I’m wondering why I ever stopped buying ColourPop?! 😕
FORMULA & PIGMENTATION
As I already mentioned the quality of these shadows is great. They are all smooth, easy to apply and blend, and the pigmentation is spot on. They take very little work to build up their intensity, but they aren’t so pigmented that they are hard for beginners. When it comes to mattes, ColourPop really has their formula perfected. They aren’t dry or chalky, but they aren’t so creamy that they kick up a ton of shadow.

GOING COCONUTS!
I am so happy I purchased this adorable little palette on a whim. It’s so easy to create daytime, and night appropriate looks, and the shades are so smooth application is super easy. They also last all day without creasing, and my fav shade, Coco Crush, doesn’t create fallout throughout the day. Where ever you apply it, it stays. I highly suggest this palette to you all!
