Soothe Dry Skin with I AM Organic

Calling all dry skinned babes! If you’re (un)lucky enough to be blessed with skin drier than the Sahara, you’ll want to pay close attention to today’s post. I’ll be talking about three amazing products from I AM Organic that everyone needs in their lineup. Seriously, these babies are SO good!

Before I jump into the reviews, here’s a little background on the brand. This locally based New Jersey company began when the owner and creator, Sandy, was on the hunt for natural based products to treat her eczema (from an eczema sufferer myself, that is no easy task). Taking things into her own hands, she decided to create a line of products free of harmful synthetics. A line she would feel comfortable applying to both herself, and her child. To make things even more interesting, she also incorporated aromatherapy, adding in scents that would take users to a place of serenity.

I first discovered I AM Organic in early 2018 (via an influencer network), and was instantly hooked. Not only does this line contain good-for-you ingredients, but it smells amazing, and it actually works! Y’all know I have major issues with dryness. In the winter I get red, itchy, and scaly. I’ve tried pretty much every product at the drugstore, and even tried prescriptions, but I was still miserable. Then I stumbled upon body oils, and was super impressed with how well they hydrate. But, most brands contain ingredients that aren’t the best.  So, when I AM Organic came across my radar I was really intrigued. The line is small, but mighty, and offers a range body oils, scrubs, and a body balm. These few products are more than enough to treat your dry skin needs!

BODY OIL – ENERGY

I’m going to start with my favorite product in the line. This ultra-hydrating body oil has been a staple in my skincare routine ever since it landed on my doorstep. Unlike other oils in higher price ranges, you can actually pronounce every single ingredient. In addition, rather than containing just one type of oil, this baby is a cocktail of oils that work together to soothe and hydrate. It’s packed with jojoba oil, sesame oil, avocado oil, grapeseed oil, olive oil, hemp oil, Vitamin E oil, grapefruit essential oil, and sweet orange essential oil – and that’s it! No fillers, no synthetics, and no B.S., just pure goodness that smells citrusy and amazing!

My favorite way to use this this oil is after the shower. I apply it mainly to my legs (my itchiest area), but you can apply it all over from shoulders to toes. In fact, this works amazing on the soles of the feet. I typically use a foot filer first, then apply the oil, and seal it all in with a lotion. Then I put on a pair of fuzzy socks, and my heels are transformed from dry and cracked, to smooth and soft. If you’re a frequent flip flop wearer, this is a must for you! BODY SUGAR SCRUB – GRATEFUL

Next up is the body scrub. The first thing you’ll notice about this, and what sets it apart from most others, is the top layer of oil. That’s what makes it super moisturizing, and why you won’t need to instantly apply after shower lotions. Formulated with jojoba oil, sesame oil, avocado oil, grapeseed oil, olive oil, hemp oil, Vitamin E oil, and honey, this scrub will leave you feeling like you already applied all your lotions and oils. My skin feels like velvet afterward! It’s not a greasy or heavy feeling, just a very hydrated feel similar to applying the oil post shower. It’s heavenly, and amazing for adding in moisture while exfoliating! Like the oil, this also retails for $14.99-$24.99.

BODY BALM -HAPPY

Last up we have the body balm. This solid balm melts into skin with a little body heat, and works perfect for tough areas like elbows, heels, and knuckles. It’s formualted with ultra-rich ingredients like cocoa butter, avocado butter, coffee butter, olive butter, hemp butter, coconut oil, and shea butter. There are balms out there are rock hard, and really difficult to apply, but this is creamy and smooth. Just rub it between your fingers to warm it up, then apply anywhere that needs intense (but not heavy) hydration. It’s only available in one scent, but I am hoping they expand the line soon! The price ranges from $20-$63.99.
