When it comes to eyeshadow, I love playing around with different formulas. Powder, cream, liquid, mousse, I’ve tried it all. Although I’ve got my favs from each category, my top picks have always been cream. They are easy to apply, last all day, and they enhance any shadow placed overtop. So, when L’Oreal sent over their new Infallible Paints Eyeshadow range, I couldn’t wait to give them a try!
Retailing for $8.99, these double ended cream shadows come in a variety of shades from soft and neutral, to bright and bold. I’ve got the entire collection, but I thought I’d strictly talk about my favs today. The ones that are neutral, and easy to wear. I’ll get into the bolder shade combos in another post.
The Paint Eyeshadows can be worn on their own, for a light wash of color, or layered under powder shadow (my favorite method). They come with doe foot applicators, and last all day without creasing – though I suggest a separate primer for those with oily lids. The pigmentation is easy to build, so long as you pat the product onto the lids. Swiping will only wipe it away, causing patchiness.
COOL IVORY
The one I reach for most, is Cool Ivory. It features a frosty beige side, and a warm beige side. You can use the lighter end all over the lids, or as an inner corner highlight. Both work excellent as bases.
SUNSET FIRE
This unique combo of corals is so pretty all over the lids! They are pigmented enough to be worn alone, and look great paired together for a fun summery look.
BROWN SUGAR
The darkest of the bunch is Brown Sugar. This makes a great base for a sultry smokey eye. If you love MAC Contructivist or Groundwork paint pots, these are a great affordable alternative!
NUDE FISHNET
Another super easy to wear neutral. One one end you have a creamy matte beige, (think MAC Painterly), and on the other you’ve got a satin rosy beige. For a quick look, apply the matte all over as a base, then layer it with the satin. It’s so pretty!
SHADY VIOLET
Last, we have the oh so pretty Shady Violet. This double ended purple caught my eye immediately. It comes with a light lavender, and a royal purple. Place the light purple on the lids, dab the darker one in the crease, blend, and you’re good to go!
SWATCHES
You can purchase the L’Oreal Infallible Paints Eyeshadows at drugstores, Target, ULTA, and anywhere L’Oreal is sold.
Have you tried the Infallible Paints Eyeshadows? I’d love to hear your thoughts!

I love the colors!!! They’re all so pretty! I’d be all over the nude ones of course, but I should pick up some of the others and challenge myself to wear something different ha!
They are so pretty! I was quite surprised how pigmented they are too. The purple is my fav!
I love these shades. The oranges are quite amazing!
Yes, that one is so pretty and unlike anything else I own!
I’ve heard of these but I didn’t realize what they are like. These are right up my alley too. I’d love to try out several of them.
I think you’d like them! They are really easy to use, and so pigmented.
These are beautiful! I need to go pick up Cool Ivory!
That one is so pretty!
I really like the shimmery halves! I definitely need a couple!
The shimmers call me name too 😉
ooo i like them 🙂 gotta check it out 🙂
You can’t beat them for the price 🙂
I tried them and really enjoyed them. I like the shimmery shades for a light wash of color!
I was really pleasantly surprised, but now I’ve gotta get brave to try some of the stranger combos (like the pink/blue one lol)
Cool Ivory looks pretty good to me!
That’s one of my favs!
Cool ivory looks so perfect. Lovely golden shade.
It’s a great everyday shade 🙂
I wasn’t really interested in these, but seeing them swatched makes me think I might have to take another look. They have some great shades!
I was scared, I thought they’d be messy, but they really are so easy to use!
I could learn a lot about makeup from you! I lack in that department. I am deff. turning into the frumpy mom. Hopefully I can change that with the help of your blog! Cool Ivory is deff. my favorite. I only have experience with powdered eyeshadow. Thanks for sharing!
Aw, it’s okay I look like a mop lady about….90% of the time lol. It’s so hard to find time for ourselves as moms, but I do like to carve out an hour here and there. It makes me feel so much better when I’m pulled together. I hope you stick around, and create some looks from my posts!
