Welcome to the second installment of Lipstick Week! If you missed my first post, all about the limited edition holiday lipsticks from YSL, I suggest you check that out. Today, I’m talking about six pink lipsticks that have been added to the L’Oreal Colour Riche line. They are affordable, wearable, and oh so pretty. Let’s get started!
This stunning collection of pinks, was inspired by L’Oreal’s most iconic spokeswomen. The idea, was to create a pink suitable for every woman. Whether you’re fair, medium, dark, or somewhere in between, L’Oreal has got a pink for you!
Each lipstick retails for $8.99 (prices vary by location), at drugstores and mass retailers. This all matte collection is formulated with pure color pigments, velvet spheres, and jojoba oil for a luxurious creamy feel.
JULIANNE, EVA & JLO
Julianne is a cool toned light pink, that works perfect for everyday looks. The formula is creamy, nicely pigmented, and easy to apply. Unlike most pale baby pinks, this one doesn’t accentuate the look of fine lines or dryness!
Eva is a gorgeous mid tone pink that leans a little red. The formula is smooth, and doesn’t drag or tug during application. Just be careful when kissing, because it will transfer!
JLO is a stunning berry wine that glides across lips with ease. It’s highly pigmented, but still very easy to apply. It doesn’t bleed, or settle into lines, and feels comfy on the lips.
DOUTZEN, BLAKE & LIYA
Doutzen surprised me. In the tube, it looks like a shockingly bright pink, but on the lips it’s actually very wearable. It applies easily, and isn’t crazy pigmented, so it’s not going to look too intense.
Blake is another shade that looks super bright in the tube, but once applied is actually kind of subtle. It’s creamy, non-drying, and doesn’t enhance the look of dry lips.
Liya is another bold that’s wearable once applied, and it’s actually my fav of the bunch! Most of you know, I’m a nude pink gal through and through, but this red toned pink is so pretty!
SWATCHES
The formula of every shade is very consistent – they are smooth, creamy, easy to apply, and feel nice on my dry lips. They aren’t the longest wearing, and they aren’t transfer proof, but they are wonderful everyday lipsticks. Only negative, is they have a play-doh like scent. It doesn’t linger, but it’s definitely there upon application.
What do you think of these new Color Riche La Vie En Rose lipsticks? Let me know!

Eva, JLo and Liya are my favourite from this range. I know what you mean about the scent, I always thought they smell like old fashioned lipsticks but the play-doh description is pretty accurate 🙂

Yes, it’s a strange smell…I’m just glad it doesn’t stick around long! lol

There are some pretty shades here but I have never cared for the fragrance of L’Oreal products.
I can definitely understand!

These are so pretty!
The shades are so pretty!
I have noticed that L’Oreal lipsticks usually have that plastic-y smell. I love the J Lo shade though.
