Happy Friday, beauties! Oh, how I’ve missed blogging! It’s been over three weeks since I sat down to write a post, and although I’m super sleep deprived (having a newborn and a toddler is crazy), I’m excited to get back to a semi-normal schedule. I’m exclusively breastfeeding, so little man demands a lot of my time, but I’m thinking 1-2 posts a week will be do-able until he’s at least sleeping through the night. But, enough of that, let’s get to the makeup!
This week, I’m featuring a look using some recent favorites, including the L’Oreal True Match Lumi Cushion Foundation and a pair of dramatic falsies from House of Lashes. I hope you enjoy!

EYES…My favorite color for brown eyes, is purple. So, today I created a fun look using two purple shadows from Inglot. To really make them pop, I first applied a stark white base from ColourPop in the shade Exit (Nikkie Tutorials uses this a lot). Next, I applied the light pink Inglot shadow in #48 to the second half of my lids, and the dark purple (#452) to my crease. Then, from the Kat Von D Mi Vida Loca Palette, I placed Skulls in the inner corner, Noble above my crease for a transition shade, and Black Metal in the outer corner.
I then lined my upper and lower lash line using Urban Decay’s Plushie, and finished off the look with the fluffiest pair of falsies from House of Lashes in the style Featherette.
FACE…The L’Oreal True Match Lumi Cushion Foundation is one of my favorite drugstore finds- ever! It’s easy to work with, has a great demi-matte finish, and it wears beautifully all day. I concealed some darkness under my eyes with my favorite Tarte concealer, then set everything with my two must have setting powders from Laura Mercier and Urban Decay.
CHEEKS…I went a little ham with my blush today, but it’s been a while since I did my makeup, so I figured a heavy hand was necessary 😉 The two shades I reached for are the Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soliel Bronzer and BECCA’s Wild Honey blush. The combo is warm and golden, and perfect for faking a sun kissed glow.
LIPS…I kept things simple, with a nude liner from MAC in Staunchly Stylish (a favorite of mine), and an opaque gloss from Urban Decay in the shade Kinky.
I hope you all enjoy your weekend, be sure to let me know what products you reached for today!

You look fabulous, not the least bit sleep-deprived. I guess we can say thank goodness for concealer! I love the white base. It really makes these purples pop! I still haven’t tried Inglot, but I will someday
Concealer and the peach color corrector from Urban Decay have been my besties lately! lol
You look absolutely amazing, Julie!
Thank you!! 🙂
Girl you look absolutely stunning! That eye-shadow look is phenomenal on you. And I agree with Allison you totally do not look sleep-deprived at all. Simply stunning girl!
Thanks, Jamie! It’s all about the concealer and color correctors haha
Love your eyes makeup! & the lip colour is also super pretty, love that it makes your lips looks so pouty!
Thank you! It’s a great your lips, but better shade!
Beautiful as always. It’s hard to believe you are sleep deprived. You’ve reminded me to pull out my many Inglot shadows to play with them.
Thanks, Marcia! Concealer is an amazing thing lol These are the only two Inglot shadows I own, but I hope to expand my collection!
You look gorgeous, new Momma! Congratulations again! <3
Thank you! 🙂
Wow look at you, you look just absolutely stunning x
Aw, thanks 🙂
You always look gorgeous love. I have a hard time with house of lashes… my natural lashes are non-existent and because of that I feel like I can’t get the HOL lashes to blend well… the band is so thick it looks and feels funky. After years of working in the makeup industry – it’s one of those I think are gorgeous, but I just can’t weir them. but on you – they look fab as does your makeup look.
I know what you mean about some of the HOL styles, these are ones with a thicker band – so it takes some work. But, their line in the green and pink boxes are less intense (so thinner bands) and they just released mini versions of their popular styles. I haven’t tried them yet, but they appear to be lighter and not as heavy!
Gorgeous (as always) I love the shades on your eyes!
Thank you!
Love your eye look!
Thanks, purples are my fav!
You look beautiful! And not sleep deprived at all, the power of makeup, eh 🙂 I love this eye look! x

I definitely want to try the cushion foundation but my skin reacted so much to the true match, I’m hesitant!
