If you have a weakness for pretty things, then hide your credit cards, because the new Clinique Lid Pop eyeshadows are seriously hard to resist! In fact, I gave you same warning last year when I reviewed their stunning Cheek Pop Blushes. The adorable floral pattern, and easy to wear shades, make these shadows just as tempting as their blush counterparts. I have to warn you though, they are so pretty it’s almost hard to swirl a brush through them!
Retailing for $17 (0.21 oz) at Sephora, Macy’s, Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, and clinique.com, these gorgeous shadows claim to provide silky all day color that’s easy to build and blend. They come in eight everyday shades, ranging from olive green to soft beige. I only allowed myself to buy three, but believe me I wanted more!
The texture of these shadows are smooth and silky. They don’t kick up much powder, and they don’t crease throughout the day. However, the lighter shades are pretty sheer – really sheer actually. You’ll want to layer them over a colored cream base, otherwise you’ll have to pack them on heavily to build their color.
CREAM POP
Cream pop is a soft beige that works great all over the lids, or for a subtle pop of highlight in the inner corner. It’s one of the sheer shades, so it works best when layered over a MAC Paint Pot (like Vintage Selection) or a Maybelline Color Tattoo (like Barely Branded). It doesn’t produce any fallout, and it’s easy to build, but it’s definitely not bold or intense.
PETAL POP
Petal Pop is light pink, that also works great all over the lids. It’s another sheer shadow, so I prefer to layer it over my Milani cream eyeshadow stick in Champagne Toast. Like Cream Pop, the formula is easy to blend and build, and it produces zero fallout.
WILLOW POP
Willow Pop is a stunning olive green, with fantastic pigmentation. I had no issues building this on the lids (over a colorless primer), and it also produced no fallout or kick up. The formula is easy to work with, and the shade is gorgeous all over the lids!

OVERALL THOUGHTS
I have to admit, the floral design of these shadows is pretty much the entire reason I bought them – no shame 😛 I was a bit disappointed in how sheer the lighter shades are, but they manage to work nicely over a cream base. The real star in this trio is definitely Willow Pop. It’s an easy to wear olive, and the formula is silky and easy to work with. If you’re looking for a wearable green to add to your collection, I highly suggest it!
If you don’t mind softly pigmented shadows, I say try Cream Pop and Petal Pop. However, if you’re used to the color payoff of Urban Decay, Smashbox, or LORAC, you might want to skip these. There are a few darker shades in the lineup, like Willow Pop, but overall the formula is on the sheer side. They are easy to blend and build, so that definitely helps, but here’s hoping Clinique expands the range to include more intense shades!

Oooooh, I wish I didn’t see these because they’re so darn cute! Willow Pop looks like it has plenty of pigment and that shade could work for me.
It’s such a pretty shade, not too pigmented (so it’s easy to work with) and so wearable. I’ll be posting a look with it on Friday!
These are stunning! I really love metallic-looking shadows like these <3 Beautiful photos as well, Julie!

Thanks, Jess! 🙂 They really are pretty shades, I want to display them and never use them haha
These are so much prettier than I expected them to be. I thought they were all about the design but the colors are great. Willow Pop is one I’d love.
Willow Pop is my favorite too, I really hope they expand the line!
Very pretty shades! I just think I’d never want to use them because the flower design is so lovely 🙂
It was definitely hard to swipe my finger through them for swatches lol
These eye shadows look lovely.

They are definitely stunners!
I would have picked the same shades- they’re gorgeous!
great minds think alike! 🙂
They look so adorable and the shades are beautiful! However if I pay $$ for a single eyeshadow I don’t want it to be sheer, I want a punch of colour so I will probably resist the cuteness of them 🙂 x

I totally understand! I really hope they update their range and include more intense shades soon!
I would use the Cream Pop & Petal Pop mixed in with my blushes for a spring time glow! I really like the look of these! Must swatch!! x

Willow Pop is gorgeous! It’d be perfect for a light, day color that isn’t too neutral!
Ohh I like all 3 of these! The pigmentation looks perfect
These are so adorable! I have a Cheek Pop blush and I love it. I need some of these shadows. Need.
I love the blushes, they are so pretty!
These are incredibly pretty and I can see how you would want to buy more! I love Cream Pop and Willow Pop.
