Oh, the sweet sweet sound of Friday! 😀 It’s been quite a week for me, so here’ s hoping the weekend is a relaxing one! For today’s look I reached for Makeup Geek Eyeshadow (review coming soon!). These are part of the traditional range, not the Foiled line like last weeks review, but they are still stunning. Let’s get to the look!
FACE:
- Laura Mercier Silk Creme Moisturizing Photo Edition Foundation
- Tarte Amazonian Clay Waterproof Concealer in Light
- Anastasia Beverly Hills Banana Powder (from the light/medium contour palette)
- Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water
EYES:
- LORAC Behind the Scenes Eye Primer
- Makeup Geek Bitten, Peach Smoothie & Creme Brulee
- Makeup Geek Foiled Eyeshadow in Starry Eyed
- Urban Decay Crave (from the Naked Basics Palette)
- Urban Decay 24/7 Liner in Crave (upper lash line and water line)
- Estee Lauder Sumptuous Infinite Mascara (top and bottom lashes)
- House of Lashes Boudoir Falsies
CHEEKS:
- Anastasia Beverly Hills Havana (from the Contour Palette)
- Burberry Light Glow Blush in No. 06 Tangerine
- Painted Earth Mineral Silk Radiance Powder in Seychelles
LIPS:
- Bite Beauty High Pigment Lip Pencil in Rhubarb
- CK One High Shine Gloss in 810 tender
EYES…I wanted to do a reddish/plummy eye, so I applied Makeup Geek Bitten all over the lid up to the crease. Next, I mixed Peach Smoothie and Creme Brûlée for my transition shade, and then applied Crave (from the Naked Basics Palette) to my outer corner. I mixed Bitten and Cocoa Bear for my lower lash line, then applied Starry Eyed to the center of my lids for some glow.
I lined my upper lash line and water line with Urban Decay Crave, then applied some new falsies from House of Lashes called Boudoir. These babies are so full and gorgeous!!
FACE….I used a dampened beauty blender to apply a light layer of Laura Mercier Silk Creme Moisturizing Photo Edition Foundation – phew, what a name. It’s my current favorite, but it can look cakey, so I highly suggest applying it with a makeup sponge!
CHEEKS…I lightly bronzed my face with the shade Havana from the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit, and then used Burberry No. 06 Tangerine on the apples of my cheeks. It’s one of my favorite blushes, and it has the Burberry pattern embossed on the powder, it’s so cute! Then for some glow, I used a tiny bit of highlight from Painted Earth.
LIPS…I went with a Bite Beauty High Pigment Lip Pencil in Rhubarb, and topped it with a creamy neutral pink gloss from CK One. Both products wear nicely on the lips, and feel super comfy!
Outtakes….
As most of you know I’m a mommy to a 2-year old…so I don’t normally look this glamorous haha I get my Face of the Day’s done during Aubrey’s nap time, but sometimes that doesn’t work out so well. She woke up early today, and refused to look at the camera (and when she did she cried). This is real life folks 😉 and yes, that’s really my blondie daughter, she got none of my genes and all of her daddy’s! LOL
I hope you all have a fabulous weekend, let me know what products you reached for today!

Love that lip color, it’s very flattering. Love the pics of your daughter too! Blogger life is hard!
It’s definitely challenging with a toddler in the house! lol So glad you liked the look 🙂
What a smoldering look! GORGEOUS! Love the pictures with your daughter!
Thank you! She’s a cutie for sure 🙂
Love love love it all. You always have the best makeup looks! I need to buy Bitten in my next order 🙂
Aw, thanks Chelsea! Bitten is SO pretty, you’ll love it!
You look amazing, as always! Love the lashes and shadow. And your daughter is so cute!
Thanks so much 🙂
I always love your looks! I want to pick up that Burberry Blush now!
You so need the Burberry blush in your life, it’s so pretty, and the packaging is stunning! 🙂
Those are PERFECT lashes on you!
Thanks, Courtney!
This is a gorgeous look – perfectly vampy & lovely. Your daughter is just freaking adorable!
Thank you, I’m so glad you like it! Maybe next time I can get her to smile for the camera lol
I can’t stop staring at your baby. She’s precious. Her face shape is so much like yours. And as usual your makeup is flawless.
Aw, thanks so much Marcia! I’ll have to feature her again, when she isn’t so cranky and pouty lol
My granddaughter is 20 months and gets very pouty and cranky at times so I sure know what it’s like. If she’s in a good mood we can ask her to make a pouty face and she laughs and does it.
Such a cute post! I love the pics with Aubrey! Such a cutie pie! I love that you used an orange toned blush with the a cranberry eye – it really looks nuanced and super lovely!
Thanks, Kristen! I’m so happy you like the look! I need to catch Aubrey in a happier mood next time, maybe then she’ll actually smile haha
Oh, I was thinking I hope your husband is going to take you out with that glamorous look, and then there’s your adorable daughter. love it!
LOL Nope! I was all dressed up, and no where to go. Glad you liked the look! 🙂
Your little one is a cutie pie! Lovely makeup look, especially the eyes, those MUG shadows are gorgeous.
Thanks, Erica! 🙂

Thank you! 🙂
You are one fabulous mama and your kiddo is co cute
Aw, thank you! 🙂
Your makeup is gorgeous as usual, but your little sweetie stole the show 😉
She certainly did! 🙂
Those falsies are fabulous! You should do a post on falsies for beginners; I’m starting to wear them. Your daughter is a cutie!
I’ve been asked several times to do a falsies post, so I plan on it soon! I just need to figure out the best way to photograph myself applying them lol
awww! How sweet is that 🙂 Great look, btw
Thanks 🙂
You look FABULOUS!
Awww the photos of you and your daughter are too cute! I love the eye look! I swear you can blend some shadows! We should call you blend master lol.
Thank you, Lisa! 🙂 I swear it’s all about the brush, the MAC 217 pretty much does all the blending magic!
Your daughter is so cute! And you look fantastic as always!
Aw, thank you! 🙂

Aww, your daughter is super cute! Love the eye makeup.
This is a great look, Julie. Your daughter is so cute! I was blonde when I was little too. She totally has your eyes. 🙂 The Makeup Geek shadows look great. I’m so bummed because when I went to order some, my computer said there was a threat on the site so I opted to wait. Hopefully soon.

Thank you! I see a teeny tiny bit of me in her, but she’s super tall, blonde and is stubborn like her daddy haha I’ve actually heard other people say their browsers gave them the same warning on the MUG site – so strange! Have you tried emailing customer service? I didn’t have an issue with the site, or maybe Safari just doesn’t care about my identity enough to warn me haha
