Happy Monday! This week is jam packed for me. We’re leaving on a two week vacation this Friday, and my list of things to-do is about a mile long. Eek! But, as promised, I’m back with the second part of my recent beauty empties. I’ve got quite a lot to get through, so let’s get to it!
First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream – I have the type of skin that gets painfully dry and itchy in the winter, so I rely on creams that are intense. This one calms, soothes, and hydrates better than anything else I’ve tried. It may be a bit heavy for those with normal skin, but if you’re dry, I highly suggest this. It sinks in nicely, it doesn’t feel greasy, and it’s free of harsh chemicals that can further irritate sensitive skin.
Dove Go Sleeveless Deodorant (Soothing Chamomile) – Although I love the Lavanila deodorants, I reach for this on days where I need extra stink protection. I prefer Dove, over brands like Secret and Degree, because it doesn’t irritate or itch my underarms.
Marc Anthony Oil of Morocco Argan Oil Hair Spray – This came in one of my monthly subscription boxes, and I really liked it. It has a fruity scent and it didn’t weigh my hair down, so I would definitely purchase a full size.
L’Occitane Almond Shower Oil – Just looking at this empty bottle makes me sad. I accidentally dropped it in the shower, and by the next morning, all of it had leaked out. Aside from the fragile bottle, this stuff is incredible. You can use it as an in shower body moisturizer, a body wash, or as a shave oil. It gently foams into a soft lather, and it fills the bathroom with a heavenly floral almond scent. Just be careful not to drop it!
Hempz Pomegranate Herbal Body Moisturizer – This is a really great moisturizer for those who don’t require a heavy duty body cream. It’s lightweight, it has a soft fruity scent, and it sinks in nicely without feeling greasy. However, my skin is just too dry for this, so although I love the formula, I really need to stick with something more intense.
Lavanila The Healthy Deodorant (Vanilla Grapefruit) – I love the formula of these deodorants! They feel great on my underarms and they don’t cause any itch or irritation. This does not contain an antiperspirant though, so it’s not something I would rely on in the summer.
First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads – These pads gently exfoliate, to reveal a brighter complexion. They don’t sting, or burn, and they left my skin looking great…with the exception of the cystic acne they caused on my chin. For a while, I blamed it on other products, but after eliminating everything else, I realized this is the culprit. So, I definitely won’t be repurchasing.
Fendi Fan di Fendi Eau De Toilette – When I worked in a professional setting, this was my go-to fragrance. It’s light, non-offensive, and it smells sophisticated. I’m not sure what the notes are, but its citrusy and a little woodsy at the same time. Working with clients, meant I didn’t want to smell overly fruity or floral, so this was a great option.
It’s a 10 Miracle Leave-In Product – I’ve been using this product for years, and when I take a break from it, I notice a difference immediately – and not in a good way. This detangles my hair, leaves it shiny, soft, and bouncy and it smells ahhhmazing. It’s a bit strong, so if you’re sensitive to scent, you may hate this. But, if you want your hair to smell like a fruity paradise, then run to ULTA and pick this up!
Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray – This has been in my arsenal for years, and I’ve mentioned it on my blog about a dozen times. It’s lightweight, hydrating, and it sets makeup for longer wear. It also helps to eliminate the look of caked on product, and it dries down quickly without disturbing your makeup. It’s quite expensive, but there’s something about it that keeps me coming back for more.
Beauty Blender Solid Cleanser – I used to hate washing my brushes, because it was so darn time consuming. With this solid cleanser, my brushes look and feel cleaner than ever before, and it takes half the time it used to. All you do is wet your brush, swirl it onto the solid cleanser, and then rinse. Your white bristle brushes will look brand new, and feel oh so soft. I am so thankful for this product!
House of Lashes Dollface Lashes – I am obsessed with these! They are full and dramatic, and look great with a dark smokey eye. They definitely have that “fake” look, but if you’re going to go through the hassle of dealing with lashes and lash glue, you might as well go all out! 😉
Too Faced Shadow Insurance – Eye primers are all pretty much the same to me. I don’t have oily lids, so I can get away with using almost all primers without issues. This one has a watery consistency that’s easy to apply, and it keeps my shadows looking great all day.
Benefit Roller Lash – When I first got this, I raved about it, and I even featured it in a favorites. But, like all other Benefit mascaras, this one eventually caused my lashes to fall out in clumps. I don’t know what they put in their mascaras that cause this, but I can’t be be losing my lashes, so I will definitely not be buying this again.
Clinique High Impact Mascara – This is one of those staple mascara’s that everyone loves. It has a nicely sized natural bristle brush, and it leaves lashes looking long and thick. It’s not an overly dramatic effect, but it’s great for everyday use, and it doesn’t clump or flake.
Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara – I love, love, love this! It can get a bit messy and clumpy at the end of its shelf life, but the results are so worth it. If you want long, separated, thick lashes then you must try this. It’s easy to remove, yet it lasts all day without flaking. I just wish it were less expensive!
I hope you enjoyed these mini reviews, let me know what products you recently used up!

I’ve been wanting to try the Lavanilla deodorant, but maybe I’ll wait till summer is over… I’ve heard such good things about the L’Occitane Almond Shower stuff, I need to give it a whiff next time I see it.
I would definitely give them a try when it’s not so hot out! The L’Occitane almond scent is beautiful. I’m not normally a fan of almond, but this one is sweet and floral and so so nice! 🙂
I wanted to get the LaVanila Deodorant from BeautyKind, but it was sold out so I’m going to have to wait until the re-stock lol. Also, I have had my eye on the It’s a 10 leave in from the Birchbox shop, but I worry it will be too heavy for my thin hair, what do you think?
I was going to get some backups of the Lavanila deodorant on Beauty Kind too! I currently have the lavender vanilla one and it smells really nice, this one is sort of strange so I’d stay away from the grapefruit lol. I would try the It’s a 10 lite version. I actually repurchased it from the Birchbox store. Although my hair is thick, the strands are quite fine, so I actually prefer the Lighter formula!
Good to know, thanks for the tips!!
You are so much better at finishing product than me. I feel like it takes me forever to finish anything. I use a Lavanilla deodorant but still use traditional deodorant when I don’t want to think about how I smell at all. haha

I didn’t discover the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream until Spring, but that’s definitely going onto my fall/winter shopping list! That stuff is amazing! I’m sorry the Facial Radiance Pads caused chin acne! No! At least you know the culprit now and can forever banish it from your household, lol! I really want to try that L’Occitane Almond Shower Oil! I’ve read so many raves and I LOVE the smell of almonds. Oh and I agree – the Beauty Blender solid cleanser is one of the best discoveries of the year! Nothing cleans blending sponges better! It’s like a dirt magnet!
Have a wonderful vacation! 😀
Right?! The second I used the Beauty Blender cleanser, I was like where has this been my entire life lol You must try the L’Occitane shower oil, it’s so nice and hydrating! I bought a travel size to take with us on vacation, but I’m definitely going to invest in another full size soon! 🙂
Wow, that is a lot of stuff you used up!! And you are the First Aid Beauty queen! I like the Ultra Repair Cream too. Such a great moisturizer for dry skin! Sorry to hear that Benefit makes your lashes fall out. Bad, bad, bad! I would like to try the L’Occitane Almond Oil. So interesting that it lathers up!
I know, that should be my title! haha I have no idea why Benefit mascaras do that to me, but it’s such a shame because I love their formulas. Bad Gal Lash is amazing, but ugh the lash loss! 🙁
I really need to start using first aid beauty because I’ve heard so many great things about all of their products. I am such a such fan of its a 10 leave in. Sometimes I switch it up between that and bumble and bumble hairdressers oil
I just got a sample of the BB Hair Dressers Oil and LOVED it! I sadly dropped the sample, and it was glass, so it shattered but it was so nice! FAB is amazing, I hope you like it as much as i do! 🙂
That’s a lot of empties. You go, girl. Enjoy that vacation, and use up lots of travel bottles! lol. Seriously, though, what is up with Benefit mascaras causing your lashes to fall out? I would be pissed.
Ugh I know! Bad Gal Lash mascara does it to me as well. I’ll rub my eyes, and 4 lashes will come off on my finger – definitely a deal breaker! Hopefully I can use up some more stuff on vacation! 🙂
Omg, I can’t believe the Benefit mascara was making your lashes fall out! I noticed I was losing more lashes than usual when I got a sample of They’re Real, but I thought perhaps I was just being too rigorous in removing it, or perhaps I wasn’t being gentle enough with applying. Yikes!
I know, it’s awful! I used Bad Gal Lash on and off for years – and noticed every time I went back to it I would lose 4-5 lashes at a time when I rubbed my eyes. I’d switch to another brand, and the issue would go away. I was really hoping Roller Lash wouldn’t do it, but ugh the same old problem returned. Such a bummer!
What a great amount of products. You must be so proud that you finished so much. I have a new High Rollin mascara and now I’m afraid to use it.
It’s definitely a great feeling to toss all these empties! Benefit mascara’s have always caused that reaction for me, so I wouldn’t worry if you’ve never had issues in the past!
You ran through a lot of stuffs. I need to get a sample size of the Roller Lash and give it a go.
I did, and it was amazing! I’m beginning to feel cluttered, so when I finish something it’s always a happy moment. Unless what I finish is expensive, then I always hate having to repurchase haha 😉
L’Occitane Almond Shower Oil is just incredible, I have the entire set and the scent is just amazing x
I know, it’s such a nice line! I was so sad when all mine leaked out 🙁
i love Benefits Roller Lash.. i havent had any problems with it so far!
Really want to try the Urban Decay setting spray!

The UD sprays are always a great product to have on hand, they feel so refreshing on the skin!
I need to get some First Aid Beauty in my life ASAP. I’ve heard endless good things!
Yes, yes you do! Their face wash is so nice and gentle, and everything is very nicely priced!
I love these mini reviews, Julie! I will have to add a few things to my wishlist- the Marc Anthony hairspray, the Miracle 10 Leave in spray! My hair needs some extra love.
Where are you going on vacation?

Let me know how you like those items when you get them! We’re going home to visit family in New Jersey. It will be the first time my husband will get to see his dad in over two years!
I’m a huge fan of the dove deodorants because they don’t cause sensitivities to my skin. 🙂 I really need to try out that solid beauty blender cleaner and I love Benefit’s Roller Lash – I didn’t think I would but I have enjoyed it.
The BB solid is wonderful, such a quick way to clean brushes. Which is always great for me, because I leave it to the last minute and always have about 50 brushes to clean lol 😉
You have so many empties! It takes me forever to finish mascaras. You did a great job 😀
