Face of the Day: 08 May 2015

We made it to Friday, woo hoo! A few months ago I picked up the ever so raved about Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette. Since I was really late to the game with this, I didn’t do a review post, but I couldn’t wait to feature it in a Face of the Day. The shade selection is fantastic, and their names will make your stomach rumble!

EYES…To start this look I applied Benefit Bikini-tini all over my lids. Then, from the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette, I placed Strawberry Bon Bon to the first half my lids, Cherry Cordial to the second half, Salted Caramel above my crease, and I dabbed a tiny bit of Champagne Truffle to my inner corners. What did I tell you about those shade names, do they sound delicious, or what? 😉

To finish my eyes, I placed some LORAC 3D Lustre Drops over the top of Strawberry Bon Bon. You can’t tell in these photos, but in person it added a great sparkle to my lids. Then, I applied demi lashes from Ardell and lined my upper lash line with Tarteist Clay Paint Liner.

FACE…I’ve had some recent breakouts on my chin, so I reached for the fullest coverage foundation I own, the NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation. Then, to concealer my under eyes, I mixed two MAC concealers that aren’t quite my shade. I hoped to get a better shade by mixing them, but it didn’t work very well. So, I added my holy grail Tarte Amazonian Clay Waterproof Concealer to bump up the coverage. I know, three concealers is overkill 😆

CHEEKS…I could not wait to dig into one of my Clinique Cheek Pop Blushes, but I will admit that it was almost painful swirling my brush through its gorgeous floral design. It was so worth it though! The pigmentation is soft, but buildable, and it left my cheeks glowing. To add some color to my skin, and hide the fact that this foundation is a touch too light for me,  I bronzed my entire face with Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil Bronzer.

LIPS…To go along with my peachy cheeks, I used the corresponding Clinique Pop Lip Colour + Primer in Melon Pop. I’ll be reviewing these lipsticks really soon, so all I’m going to say is I’m obsessed!
