Hi there, beauties! Last year I did a post all about the beauty contents of my medicine cabinet, and since I’m a product junkie, I thought it would be fun to check back in and see which products I’m still loyal to – and which ones got the ax. This is a long one, so grab some coffee and kick your feet up while I chat all things skincare, and a little haircare too!
WHAT I STILL USE
First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser – This cleanser has been my go-to for years. It foams into a frothy lather, and gently cleanses skin for a fresh complexion. It never leaves my face feeling tight or dry, and only a pea size amount is needed for each use. My skin seriously loves this stuff!
Supergoop! Save Face AM Moisturizer SPF 35 – Sunscreen is such an important part of my beauty routine, and this one from Supergoop! is one of the best I’ve tried. It blends effortlessly, and wears perfect under makeup. I’m pretty sure it’s discontinued, but their Everyday Sunscreen is just as amazing.
First Aid Beauty Daily Face Cream – This has a new look now, but the formula remains the same. It’s lightweight, hydrating, and sinks into skin beautifully. Before I discovered this, my face was dry in some areas and acne prone in others. Now, I no longer suffer from breakouts and my dry patches are a thing of the past. My only wish is that it came in a jumbo size!
First Aid Beauty Detox Eye Roller – I know, I know another First Aid Beauty product. But, this brand has seriously saved my skin, and this eye roller is no exception. Formulated with caffeine to suck in morning eye bags, this hydrating eye serum feels cooling and refreshing, and it really works to minimize puffy eyes.
Origins Eye Doctor Eye Cream – If you have sensitive eyes, you must try this. It has a creamy texture that isn’t heavy or greasy, and it doesn’t cause stinging or burning. My under eyes have never been so smooth and hydrated!
Bumble & Bumble Straight Blow Dry – I’ve professed my love for this product so many times. It makes my hair silky, and prevents it from drying into a frizzy pouffy mess. It costs nearly $40, but all you need is a dime size, so it will last you forever. This is the same tube in last years photo, and it’s no where near finished.
NEW ADDITIONS
Philosophy Renewed Hope in a Jar – This cream was love at first try! Its consistency is thick and creamy, and it leaves my skin glowing. I haven’t purchased a full size yet, but I definitely plan on doing so very soon.
Eufora Illuminating Shine Mist – The smell of this is absolutely incredible. It’s hard to explain, but if you can find this in a salon near you, I highly suggest sniffing it out. It can be used on hair before heat styling, or in between washes for a shine boost. The smell lingers, and the formula doesn’t feel heavy for greasy. It’s fabulous!
Peter Thomas Roth Laser Free Retexturizer Exfoliating Scrub – I’ll be reviewing this very soon, but here’s a hint…it’s amazing!
Agave Healing Oil Treatment – This has replaced the Josie Maran serum from last year’s lineup, and so far I’m obsessed! It has a yummy fruity scent, and a thick texture that hydrates my hair and it leaves it super soft and shiny.
Origins Checks and Balances Frothy Face Wash – Origins is a brand that reminds me a lot of First Aid Beauty, everything I’ve tried is amazing. This face wash is exactly what it says, it’s frothy, foamy, and left my skin clear and soft. If I wasn’t so in love with my FAB cleaner, I would definitely purchase a full size.
Bioderma Cleansing Water – You can read my in-depth review of this cleansing water here, but in short this is a really great way to remove all traces of eyeliner and lash glue.
First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads – These gentle pads exfoliate and tone skin, for a bright even complexion. They don’t sting or burn, and there’s no rinsing required. I really like them!
WHAT CHANGED
Algenist Ultra Lightweight UV Defense Fluid – I really enjoyed this SPF. It has a thin texture that applies nicely, and it didn’t cause breakouts. However, it’s $28 for one fluid ounce, so I can’t justify buying it again.
Origins Zero Oil Deep Pore Cleanser – I loved this cleanser! I literally just ran out about a month ago, so it lasted nearly a year. It foams up really nicely, and left my face looking clear and bright. I haven’t repurchased, because I decided to stick with my First Aid Beauty cleanser, but I highly recommend it to anyone needing some acne fighting.
MAC Makeup Remover – This is still my all time favorite eye makeup remover, I just haven’t repurchased in a while…mostly because it costs so much. I have a ton of cleansing waters to get through, so eventually I might go back to this.
Josie Maran Argan Hair Oil – I still have this sitting somewhere under my bathroom sink, but I really don’t reach for it often. My hair is thick, so I need a rich oil, and this one is too thin and drying for my liking.
NARS Double Refining Exfoliator – This has tiny microbeads that aren’t harsh or scratchy, and it leaves my skin feeling fresh and soft. But, I prefer chemical exfoliators, so I won’t be repurchasing this one.
Phew! That was a lot to get through, but I hope it helped any of you looking to revamp your skin care routine. What products are in your medicine cabinet, let me know down below!

Those are some amazing pictures!! I still have yet to try Bioderma – it’s definitely on my I need to try/new addition list! I also love First Aid Beauty products.. so great 🙂
Aw, thank you! 🙂 Bioderma is so gentle, I love it..though I do find the simple cleansing water to pretty much identical for half the price!
Love the post! Lots of products I’ve never tried
Hope you got some ideas for products to try! 🙂 xo
I’m a big fan of FAB as well. I was almost going to say I would run out and buy the Algenist Ultralightweight UV Defense Fluid till I read that it’s $28 for one ounce. I would love to find a lightweight sunscreen instead of the heavy ones I own. I love Algenist but their products are seriously pricey.
You might like the Supergoop! Everyday Sunscreen, it’s really thin so it blends nicely, and it doesn’t feel heavy. I adore their Save Face SPF, but it’s not listed on any sites anymore so I think it’s gone forever. Don’t you hate when that happens?! 🙁
I just bought and used Supergoop Eye Cream with SPF today for the first time. And I wasn’t used to the odd applicator and ending up putting on too much. It took almost an hour for me to get it to “soak in”. Just a smidgen tomorrow! I think I need to get the hang of this one before I move on to the moisturizer, but I’ll definitely sample it at Sephora since thin is what I’m looking for.
Oh no, I hope you have a better experience with it next time! I haven’t tried their eye cream, but I’m intrigued, I’ll have to see if I can sample that!
I’ve never tried anything from FAB but recently started using some Origins products and so I love everything I’ve tried! I always looked after my skin and has a good skincare routine but since started blogging my bathroom cabinet has been overflowing with different products, total junkie here 🙂 x
Mummy’s Beauty Corner
Oh yes, I know that feeling. At one point I had about 4 different serums, it was out of control lol. When it comes to skincare I’m more of a “less is more” kinda gal. Origins and FAB are excellent brands, everything they offer is so gentle and effective!
FAB is a product line that I’ve recently started using more and more of and I’m seriously in love. It’s changed my skin and has helped with so many other issues! Alienist is a line that always impresses me, I just sometimes have a little sticker shock, ha!! I love this post!!!! It’s always funny to me what items I’m still using over and over again and what ones I stopped using.
Oh yes, the sticker price on Algenist is quite scary lol. I love investing in great skincare, but thankfully FAB has awesome price points. I was impressed that I didn’t have more new stuff, I’ve pretty much stuck with the same old products!
The facial radiance pads are brilliant aren’t they? xxx
They are! I got these in a gift set and I was really surprised at how much I like them! 🙂
This is such a brilliant post, what a brilliant idea. I love Bioderma too! xxx
So glad you liked it! 🙂 xo
I really like this series! First Aid Beauty is one of those brands that’s on my to-try list. I especially want to try their eye roller!
They usually release great little sets, I think you’ll love the brand. Everything is so gentle, but so effective!
This was great to read! I haven’t tried FAB yet but the moisturizer and those pads are now on my list! I have the BB straight too and I love it, and you’re right it is going to last forever!
The pads are great! At first, I didn’t think they were doing anything, but now I see how clear and bright they make my complexion. I’m pretty sure I’ll never get through the BB Straight lol
Its interesting to see whats new and what you still use. I think I don’t stick as much to same products. I like the sound of the Origins cleanser though. Might pick it up after I work through the ones I own now 🙂

That’s a great cleanser, I hope you like it!
I am such a First Aid Beauty fan, I’ve loved everything I’ve tried!
Isn’t it all amazing?! I’m so hoping they release a larger size of the daily face cream, I go through one every other month!
Such an awesome post idea! Excuse me as I take notes on how to achieve your skin. Love it!

lol aw thanks! You know I really jinxed myself writing this, because I woke up with a chin full of breakouts thanks to a new foundation. Note to self, never brag about how clear your skin is haha
Wow, so many products I’d love to try! I have never tried anything from First Aid Beauty! That eye roller sounds amazing, I might have to get that one! Does it brighten the under eye area at all?

I really do like Origins eye creams. They have a great one with ginseng that is amazing for puffiness. I’ll have to look at this one next time I’m having a wander around the skin care section.

I need the Bioderma cleansing water! I have been hearing such great things on it!
What a great post! Doesn’t everyone love looking at people’s skincare collections?! First Aid Beauty is an awesome brand. Their Ultra Repair Cream is amazing. The only product I’ve ever been able to use on both my body and my face without any break outs!
