The year has almost come to an end, and I am truly grateful for each and every one of you. Thank you so much for all your amazing comments and words of encouragement, here’s to an even better 2015! 😀 In honor of New Years Eve, I created a smokey eye with a touch of sparkle. Who doesn’t love some sparkle!?
FACE:
- BECCA Resurfacing Face Primer
- BECCA Matte Skin Shine Proof Foundation
- Burberry Fresh Glow Luminous Fluid Base
- NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Custard
- Urban Decay Naked Skin Definition Pressed Finishing Powder in Naked Medium Light
EYES:
- Too Faced Shadow Insurance Eyelid Primer
- Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Pencil in Perversion
- Urban Decay Moondust Shadow in Moonspoon
- Urban Decay Asphalt Eyeshadow (from the Smoked Palette)
- Urban Decay Foxy Eyeshadow (from the Naked Basics Palette)
- MAC Modelette Eyeshadow
- Anastasia Beverly Hills Legend Eyeshadow (from the Amrezy Palette)
- Bobbi Brown Gel Liner in Caviar Ink
- Too Faced Lights, Camera, Flashes Mascara
- Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara
- Ardell Glamour 102 Demi Lashes
CHEEKS:
- Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil Bronzer
- NARS Douceur Blush
LIPS:
- MAC Pure Zen Lipstick
- MAC Florabundance Lipglass
To start my eye look, I primed my lids with Too Faced Shadow Insurance. Then I applied Urban Decay’s 24/7 Liner in Perversion all over up to the crease, and carefully blended out the edges. Working with dark colors is tricky, and it requires practice and patience. So be sure to blend, blend, blend and if you’re not sure – blend some more!
The star of this look is the beautiful Moondust shadow from Urban Decay. This stuff sparkles like no other, and it’s incredibly finely milled so you don’t have to worry about chunks of glitter getting everywhere. To ensure there was minimal fallout, I sprayed MACs Fix + onto my brush, then applied Moonspoon all over the black base (Perversion).
To darken the crease, I applied a tiny amount of Urban Decay’s Asphalt, then carefully blended it out with a soft brown shade called Modelette. I used Foxy to blur any harsh edges, then applied my mascara, false lashes and gel liner from Bobbi Brown.
For my face I applied my primer, then mixed a dime size amount of Fresh Glow to my Becca foundation and blended it into my skin using a damp Beauty Blender. Afterwards, I lined my bottom lash line with Asphalt, applied Legend to my inner corner, then finished with Clinique’s Bottom Lash Mascara.
To finish the look I applied my contour with my NARS Ita brush, placed NARS Douceur onto the apples of my cheeks, then applied my lip shades.
Have a happy and safe New Years Eve, beauties!! See you in the new year!
I really like this look. It would be perfect for a party or a night out on the town. I love the shimmer.
Definitely! It’s a bit too dark for casual wear, but for a night out it’s perfect! And the shimmers shine so beautifully in person! 🙂
oh I love me some sparkle and that is just the right amount. You look stunning!
Thank you! If only my camera picked up how shiny the micro glitters in the shadow are!
Very sultry! I love how it’s not a big glitterbomb look. It’s a very sultry smokey look!
Thank you! The moondust shadows are like micro glitters, they sparkle but it’s not overwhelmingly glittery. In person they shine so nicely!!
This is a seriously stunning look!
Thank you! 😀
Such a gorgeous look! I love my pink moondust but I may be picking this shade up too! Great look!

Pink moondust?! AH, I need that in my life!!
Pretty! And I love the look of Douceur. That one has been on my list for the longest time, but I’ve always been afraid it would be too dark or muddy. Love it on you!!
Ohh I love Douceur! It can pull a tad too red on me sometimes, but if I use a tiny bit with some bronzer it looks more nude than red!
The perfect smoky eye. You are so gorgeous! Love how that lip colour goes so perfectly with your eye makeup. Happy New Year!
Thank you!! Pure Zen is one of my favorite lip shades from MAC!
Everything always looks stunning on you! Your lashes look amazing <3.
Thank you! These lashes are really cute, I’ll have to wear them with a lighter eye so they’re easier to see! 🙂
Gorgeous look!
Thank you! 🙂
Love love love the eye look, beautiful! Happy new year 🙂
Thanks Mia!! Happy New Year!
Gorgeous look! Loving the eyes!
Thank you!
I haven’t played with that uD shade- it looks amazing!
It doesn’t have much color on it’s own, but when layered over a smokey shade it’s stunning and shimmery!
Gorgeous make up as always!! Love the dramatic eyes!
Thanks hun!
Love this one too! I still want to try to recreate your last look with the pink and the Lorac Lustre drops!!!
I played around with the gold lustre drops the other day, and swoon!! They are so pretty!!
