It’s FRIDAY! Which means it’s time for my face of the day – YAY! 😆 Today’s look features the LORAC palette I recently talked about. Despite my high hopes for this product, the shadows were such a pain to work with. They are so softly pigmented, that it took double the amount of time to create this simple look. It’s such a shame because the colors are so pretty!

To add a some sheen to the lid, I used a luminous base from Maybelline called Pure Nude. The coral shadow applied really nicely, and didn’t require much work. But, the darker shades were not user friendly at all. No matter how many times I dipped my brush into them, their color payoff never intensified. I’ve never worked so hard for such a bland looking crease!
The foundation I’m currently testing is from Cover FX, which offers amazing full coverage and a shine free finish. However, you’ll notice it can look patchy on dry areas (namely my forehead). I knew before buying this that it would be problematic for my combo skin, but I was so hooked after using a sample that I decided to get it anyway. I still need to play around with it some more, but I’ll be sure to post a full review in a few weeks.
I hope you enjoyed today’s look, let me know what products you reached for!

I agree Julie! The darker shades do require some effort. I do enjoy my palette, but tend to use the lighter shades. I do love the turquoise shade!
